Mazda2 Concept Reminds Us How Much We Love Their Cars

Regardless of model year, there are some things
that never changes about the Mazda brand's compact car
lineup. They're fun to drive, economical, and reliable. And while we're a huge
fan of the used iterations that come to our lot, we also can't help but look at
what the brand is offering in the future.

Next week, the Geneva Motor Show kicks off, and
sure enough, Mazda will be there with guns blazing showing off a whole host of
new tech along with a concept car. That prototype, which will be a foretelling
of the next generation Mazda2 is the main attraction as far as we're

The name of the concept is the
Hazumi, which translated from Japanese means to
"bound" or "spring up." It's definitely an apt description
for this little athlete, which we recently got a sneak peak of by way of images
and renderings.

As this is a concept car, it's highly stylized, but
it is quite indicative of the next-gen Mazda2 that will surely follow it. From
the renders, we see a car that is small in stature, but bursting with energy
and latent aggression. The latter can definitely be seen in the
"eagle-eyed" headlamp design--a departure for the brand.

And while the future looks bright, there's still
the entire used
lineup they offer. Swing by our showroom here in
Stoney Creek, ON to see what quality and gently-loved pre-owned
models we offer. If one of them happens to catch your eye, let us know and
we'll set you up with a test drive.
